Child Abuse and Neglect Summit 04 August 2004 Families Australia organised a Child Abuse and Neglect Summit, held in Canberra in June 2004. The Summit brought together key stakeholders from government, the business sector, unions, churches, the health sector and the community sector to discuss how they can work together to stop the rising incidence of child abuse and neglect in Australia.
David Perkins of the Community and Public Sector Union delivered the following speech.

Anti-discrimination staff strike over cuts 31 July 2003 The NSW Government earlier this month announced massive funding cuts to the Anti-Discrimination Board This year's budget has been reduced by $750,000. This is a cut of 23%, and a further 30% cut is expected next year.
