A Just Australia

A Just Australia brings together 11,000 individual supporters of refugees and over 100 refugee advocacy organisations - and they are always looking for more support.
National Director of A Just Australia, Howard Glenn, is currently in Geneva publicising the plight of refugees and asylum seekers during the 60th session of the United Nations Human Rights Committee which is chaired by Australia in 2004.
A Just Australia is also finalising a Federal Election campaign plan that anyone can participate in. In the meantime, A Just Australia is urging the Government to change its refugee policy settings and:
· provide permanent protection for proven refugees, with assistance to return home on a voluntary basis;
· introduce a process for humanitarian visas or solutions for those stuck in the limbo of long term detention; and
· immediately release children and their families into the community.
