National Campaign Kicks Off

ACTU Secretary Greg Combet and Federal CPSU (SPSF) Federal Secretary David Carey are urging university support staff throughout the country to get involved in a union campaign.
The campaign is designed to promote the essential and valuable roles of "General Staff" within universities and the critical role of the CPSU in representing the industrial interests of general staff.
Combet, speaking to more than 70 UTS support staff in Sydney, said the "quality of outcomes" from the campaign depended solely on the level of support for union action in the workplace.
"It is important that staff understand, support and get involved in the union's campaign," said Combet.
