Email your protest to the Federal Government
31 July 2003
Have your say, by August 15, about how the proposed changes to Tertiary Education will affect you, your family or your community by sending a Submission to the Senate Inquiry into Higher Education. The article below includes links for making email submissions.
The Federal Government is proposing to make huge changes to universities, including 30% higher fees & more places to go to full fee paying students. The Senate is holding an Inquiry into the impact of the changes, and has called for people to put in Submissions. You can send an email Submission to the Senate Committee using the Submissions Form on the YAPA website: .
Your submission can be as long or short as you like. It is particularly important that young people, as those who will be most affected, have a chance to be heard.
Having your say is as simple as sending an email. But please be quick! Submissions close 15th August (2 weeks away). If you are interested to know more about the issue, or get involved, there are a number of other resources available on the YAPA website including:
- An Action Kit for Young People, *Fact Sheets and *Useful links to other resources and organisations involved in the campaign.
If you are a young person and would like to get regular updates about the campaign and what other people are doing we invite you to join the Tertiary Education Action Group by emailing Sylvie Ellsmore at sylvie@yapa.org.au or calling the YAPA office on 02 9281 2344 (or 1800 627 323 NSW only).
Thankyou for taking the time to consider this important matter.
Regards,
