Virtual Climate Change Rally Thurs 21 October 1pm (AEDT)
As the world prepares to meet at the United Nations climate summit in Glasgow, activists from the union movement around Australia will join together to hear from workers, climate change experts and movement leaders about the next steps in our campaign.
We’ll talk about why the upcoming COP26 in Glasgow is crucial to Australia’s, and the world’s, action plan against climate change.
Australia can’t show up empty-handed.
We need an ambitious climate plan that: includes targets to reduce pollution and decarbonise our economy, supports workers and industries as we move to net zero emissions, and embraces Australia’s opportunity to create 395,000 clean export jobs.
The human cost of inaction on climate change and its impact on workers is growing daily; there’s no time to lose.
If you would like to join thousands of workers from across the country calling for greater national leadership for a safe climate and good union jobs, the Australian Council of Trade Unions is holding a Virtual Climate Change Rally on Thursday 21 October, 1pm (AEDT).
You are invited to take part in this urgent action.
CPSU Organiser Milly Ross will be working on our Climate Change Project and will be contacting members over the coming months.
Yes, I want to register for the Virtual Climate Change Rally
