Fair Work Commission decision – WAPOU – Election arrangements (E2026/21)

The Fair Work Commission has issued a decision under section 189 of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 to arrange the conduct of elections for Branch Executive, Councillor and Federal positions within the CPSU SPSF Group WA Prison Officers’ Union Branch.

The decision also reflects recent rule changes, including new electorates and the transition away from sub-branch structures (see page 2).

Regulation 121(4) Notice of the lodgment of an eligibility rule application

CPSU has lodged an application with the Fair Work Commission to alter its eligibility rule seeking consent to extend our coverage to persons employed or engaged to work in any private prison or correctional facility in South Australia.  Questions about the application can be directed to Mark Perica of the SPSF Group

ELECTION NOTICE
Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009

Nominations are called for:  FEDERAL SECRETARY

Written nominations which comply with the Rules of the Union may be made at any time from Wednesday, 8 June 2016. They must reach me not later than 12:00 noon (AEST) on Wednesday, 29 June 2016 at my office, email or postal address. Nominations cannot be withdrawn after that time.   

Nomination forms are available upon request from the Returning Officer or from the registered office of the organisation.
